Environment
Bill Thompson, DDS established Pine Creek Dental as an office for general and family dentistry. We are committed to providing quality dentistry dedicated to the total oral health and comfort of your children. Our Colorado Springs children’s dental office is located on the corner of Chapel Hills and Briargate Blvd next to the Briargate Library. Optimal dental health is vital for a child’s development, and we are dedicated to serving you every step of the way.
We strive for excellence in everything we do and are committed to making sure our patients, families, and children are provided with a fun, cheerful, and caring environment. Your child’s first dental visit will be comfortable and fun including a treasure chest they can explore at the end of their appointment! We understand the importance of establishing a habit of good oral hygiene early in a child’s life, and we provide children with the necessary knowledge and treatment to maintain a healthy smile.
Our practice strives to make this new journey for your child a healthy, positive and rewarding experience. Parents are always welcome during treatment and are given the information needed to make necessary decisions.
Prevention and Treatment
Pine Creek Dental’s DVD library and treasure chest help make your child’s visit a cheerful and exciting experience. Our goal is to make your child/children build and maintain a positive attitude towards dental care. Good oral hygiene is a very important part in the health of your child. Visits are aimed at educating parents and providing anticipatory guidance for the prevention of dental disease.

Laser Dentistry for Children
Laser dentistry has revolutionized children’s dentistry, and one of the leaders of this movement in the Colorado Springs region is Bill Thompson, DDS. Laser dentistry reduces anxiety in patients by eliminating the use of the dental drill. Dr. Bill Thompson utilizes the Waterlase Laser, which has greater accuracy and safety by casting a cloud of warm water vapor around the laser’s point. The best part is that the laser never gets hot so laser dentistry is virtually pain-free, eliminating the need for any anesthetic or sedative (no shots!). Laser dentistry can be used for a variety of dental procedures such as fillings, root canals and cosmetic gum recontouring and reshaping.
For Dr. Bill Thompson, the best thing about laser dentistry is that the kids love it, especially for those who are allergic to anesthetic or were already on medication that could interact with anesthetic. Without the initial fear of dentists, Dr. Thompson’s patients will grow up with a greater appreciation of dentists. Most adults who neglect going to the dentist often do so out of fear and anxiety they have harbored from dental visits as children. With Laser Dentistry, the fear is reduced at a young age, which will encourage a more conscious desire to maintain healthy teeth and gums. We want what you want: the best care possible for your children.
