Personalized Dentistry
Our Colorado Springs Dentist at Pine Creek Dental sees patients of all ages and performs all procedures necessary to maintain your optimum dental health. Our Colorado Springs dental office uses the latest technology, best dental materials and laboratories. This allows us to use our skills to provide consistent quality with beautiful and long lasting results. As Colorado Springs dental specialists, we are true believers that preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health and we strive to provide “dental health care” vs. “disease care.” This is why our focus is on thorough exams – checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer screenings and taking X-Rays when necessary. We also know that routine cleanings, flossing, sealants and fluoride are helpful in preventing dental disease. Not only are we focused on the beauty of your smile, we’re concerned about your health.
We realize that your time is as valuable as ours and we work hard to see you exactly at your appointed time. With the availability of three registered hygienists, two dental assistants, and Dr. Bill Thompson, in most cases, same day appointments are available for patients who are in pain or have a dental emergency. Through years of experience caring for patients, Dr. Thompson and his highly-trained staff can address all your concerns and give you sound advice about your options.
Lumineers
Your smile and eyes are the most noticed aspect of your appearance and personality. Most people think of their smile as an asset and would like to improve their appearance. With today’s many esthetic and cosmetic options, you don’t have to settle for chipped, stained or misaligned teeth.
Lumineers are the perfect option for those looking for a new, convenient way to permanently whiten and straighten their smile. These are digitally designed veneers which are a painless cosmetic solution. Without the removal of painful tooth structure or anesthetic (no shots), Lumineers are minimally invasive, reversible, and can be as thin as a contact lens. Pine Creek Dental is one of the only facilities in the area to offer this breakthrough procedure. As Lumineers have been clinically proven to last up to 20-25 years, you can design the smile you have always wanted! If you have any questions, our Lumineers Coordinator offers consultations and is happy to sit down with you any time to provide any additional information that would be helpful to you.
Laser Dentistry

Pine Creek Dental in Colorado Springs utilizes lasers for:
- cavity detection – detects cavities on the biting surfaces of teeth which can often go unnoticed
- tooth decay – removes decay within a tooth and prepares the surrounding enamel for receipt of the filling
- gum disease – lasers reshape gums and remove bacteria during root canal procedures
- biopsy or lesion removal, and
- teeth whitening.
Laser dentistry reduces anxiety in patients uncomfortable with the use of the dental drill, bleeding and swelling during soft tissue treatments. The lower level of pain therefore reduces the need for anesthesia (shots), and preserves healthier tooth structure during cavity removal.

DIAGNOdent aids in the detections of cavities. Even very small lesions are detected at the earliest stage, enabling you to protect and preserve the tooth substance. More and more patients place value on healthy and attractive teeth; in order to maintain them, the best possible care is essential.

State-of-the-Art Facility
Our office is designed around three principles: comfort, quality and technology. When used and integrated properly, they allow us to provide the best dental experience possible to our Colorado Springs dental patients. Dr. Thompson has implemented only the technology that is time-tested and benefits his patients. He has been told by many dental professionals that the office is “the most technologically advanced they have ever seen.” – Dr. Bill Thompson
Paperless and Digital
Pine Creek Dental is completely paperless and digital. All X-Rays, photographs and charts are computerized. Digital radiography allows us to easily enhance and transport your X-Rays. The amount of radiation used for digital X-Rays is up to 90% less than with traditional methods, which is a big plus for patients! Laser cavity detectors allow us to diagnose tooth decay at an early stage before it becomes a more extensive problem. Dr. Thompson also uses intraoral cameras which allows patients to view oral problems from the same view as the dentist on a 19-inch television screen.
Our technologically-advanced office protects not only the safety of the environment, but offers extensive benefits to our patients including:
- security our computer server sits behind a locked door, has three firewalls and is backed up remotely to a locked vault daily
- convenience if you like, we can e-mail your X-Rays or appointment reminders to you
- no paperwork we won’t hand you a stack of papers to fill out prior to your first appointment–simply read the information on a computer monitor and sign a digital signature pad
- reliability your information won’t be lost and your X-Rays can’t be misplaced
Educational Videos
We believe that mutual trust and open communication is the foundation of good dentistry. Here at our Colorado Springs-based office, Dr. Bill Thompson and his team use educational DVDs that help you understand your dental care and treatment options as well as illustrating dental procedures and oral health.
Comfort
We know comfort is of utmost importance during your dental visit. We offer dental chairs with massaging backs and memory foam cushions, pillows, and blankets. Our Colorado Springs dental office has a relaxing lobby with comfortable sofas and chairs with a refrigerator full of drinks that are available at all times during your visit.
Patient Entertainment and Education
Every dental chair has its own LCD TV. Patients have the option of watching television, DVDs, or listening to music, as we have headphones for patient use. The LCD screen also serves as a viewing screen for your digital X-Rays and patient education with our own DVD-based system.
One Visit Crowns
Pine Creek Dental has a CEREC laboratory in which we create our own porcelain crowns. In a typical crown visit to Pine Creek Dental, Colorado Springs patients can come for one visit and leave with a finished crown. Traditional crowns take at least two trips and require wearing a temporary one for weeks. With One-Visit Crowns, you experience fewer interruptions to your schedule and less anesthetic injections.
Periodontal Disease Treatment–
Up to 70% of American adults have periodontal disease, which is a chronic bacterial infection of the gums, teeth, and bone that surrounds the teeth. Periodontal disease occurs when bacteria build up on teeth and gums, causing the gums to become red and swollen.
Left untreated, the inflammation eventually results in damage to the ligaments and bone that hold your teeth in place. This damage causes pockets to form around your teeth. As the disease progresses and the pockets deepen, your teeth can become loose and fall out. Periodontal disease may also exacerbate other serious health problems, such as cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, and diabetes.
All of our dental hygienists at Pine Creek Dental are highly trained in the treatment and maintenance of periodontal disease. We offer the most advanced forms of periodontal treatment resulting in less discomfort and a healthier you.
Whitening
Your teeth, like your clothing, can become stained from external sources. Just as bleaching your clothing can make it look new, whitening your teeth can drastically improve your appearance and take years off of your smile. Colorado Springs dental specialist Dr. Thompson can talk with you about this exciting and non-invasive process. Pine Creek Dental offers home whitening, laser whitening, and micro-abrasion whitening.
